A fantastic four-course dinner with pairings from Sandhill winery. Sandhill winemaker Sydney Valentino collaborates with Vis A Vis executive chef Kevin Pinto to bring this culinary event to Oak Bay.

The evening starts with a reception of bubbles and cheese pairings, before a seated dinner with unique "Small Lot" wine pairings from one of Canada's best wineries.

Tickets are $150 including dinner, wine pairings, and taxes.

Oak Bay Half Marathon

2024 marks the 18th Oak Bay Half Marathon, Relay, 10km & Dairyland Kids 1km Fun Run. The start is at Windsor Park; after winding its way through the charming downtown core and historic residential setting of Oak Bay, the course loops out and back along the scenic seaside route of Beach Dr and finishes back at Windsor Park.

Note: For the safety of the participants, the Municipality of Oak Bay and Oak Bay Police Department have ensured full road closures on the route so participants can use full lanes throughout the race.

Oak Bay Night Markets

June 12, July 10, August 14 and September 11

Beginning in June and continuing to September, between 4:00 and 8:00 pm on the second Wednesday of the month, Oak Bay Village is transformed into a European-style street market. A wide range of fresh and local produce and food is available. Artists and artisans showcase a variety of wares including wood turned bowls, hand made greeting cards, glass art, paper casting, fabric arts, jewelry, toys, fresh made soaps and cosmetics and preserves. Each market also offers local musicians, roving entertainment and the occasional special guest! Oak Bay merchants are open with special pricing, tastings, demos, sampling and more.

Oak Bay Classic Car Show

24th Annual Ken Agate Memorial Classic -

The annual Oak Bay Collector Car Festival returns on July 21, 2024. Historically, this event attracts rare and unique cars and is one of the most popular vehicle displays on the Island event calendar.

Collector car owners and enthusiasts of all makes and vintages are invited to bring their cars to Oak Bay Avenue to be enjoyed by visitors and locals alike. Cars are placed in sections along 5 blocks of Oak Bay Avenue, Monterey to Mitchell Street plus a portion of Hampshire Rd.

Many of the local restaurants and businesses will be open especially for the event. There will also be a BBQ, as well as a number of food trucks to choose from in the parking lot behind the municipal hall. There will be ribbons awarded in a variety of categories, and great entertainment as well.

Trick or Treat on the Avenue

When the ghosts and ghouls come out on Halloween night, Oak Bay Village hosts a giant community trick-or-treat!

Bring your family trick-or-treating from Foul Bay Road to Monterey Avenue. Participating shops are identified by the pumpkin poster in their window. This list is also posted a week before on the Oak Bay Village website.

Enjoy live music throughout the event as well as a variety of entertainment.

View hundreds of pumpkin carvings on the Avenue and the annual Bonfire at Fireman’s Park (TBC).

Oak Bay Tea Party

The Oak Bay Tea Party is an annual event held at Willows Park in Oak Bay.

2024 will mark the 62nd Tea Party weekend. The Oak Bay Tea Party has two reasons to exist: a fun time for the community and to help service organizations, such as the Kiwanis and Lions, raise funds for their many community projects.

Oak Bay Village Christmas Festival

November 24, 2024

Every year as the cooler sea air sets in, Oak Bay Village welcomes the oncoming holidays with a grand Light Up Festival.

Family activities start at 2 PM with a bouncy castle, street games, craft stations and lighted trucks. Onstage entertainment begins at 3 PM. Enjoy roasted chestnuts, letters to Santa, and thousands of lights on buildings, trees and lampposts throughout the Village.

Santa Claus arrives in style, riding on an Oak Bay Fire Truck!

The Oak Bay Christmas Festival kicks off the last Sunday in November with the Light Up.

Oak Bay Spring Nosh - The first weekend in June

The Nosh celebrates local food and the culinary stars in Oak Bay Village.

This event is free to attend; a selection of small bites and larger portions are available, along with live music and locally brewed beverages.  Enjoy food from The Whole Beast and Village Butcher, Oak Bay Seafood, Chef on the Run and more.

All ages are welcome.  Beverage Garden is cash only.
