How Many Palm Trees Can You See in Oak Bay?

Oak Bay is Canada’s Palm Tree Capital – home to almost 1,900 palm trees. This self-guided palm tree tour highlights some of the best examples of a variety of palm trees in close proximity to each other.

Begin at 1120, across from the Oak Bay Beach hotel and follow Beach Drive north. The tour finishes in the Uplands residential neighborhood.

At this point turn right on Estevan Avenue, which ends at Esplanade Street.

Turn right on Esplanade.

Follow Estevan back to Beach Drive and turn right.

Continue along Beach Drive until you reach Ripon Road. Turn left onto Ripon. Note that when you come to a fork in the road Ripon Road forks left.

Turn right onto Lansdowne Road and follow it to Weald, on your right
