Visiting Oak Bay
Oak Bay is accessible to downtown Victoria by car, bicycle, bus or even by foot for the ambitious walker. Hop on, hop off city tours give visitors time to browse the shops or relax over tea in between seeing the sights. Routes directly from downtown follow Fort Street, Pandora Avenue or Fairfield Road. The scenic Oceanside route following Beach Drive takes slightly longer but rewards the driver with a relaxed drive or cycle and ocean vistas at every turn.

Climate
Oak Bay enjoys a mild climate year round with temperatures rarely approaching zero degrees. Evenings can be cool as an ocean breeze is often present in Oak Bay. In summer pack for moderate weather including light jackets and sweaters for cooler evenings and shorts and T-shirts for warm days. A heavy jacket is advisable for winter. Snow is a rarity but winter days can be crisp.
